TEACHER EDUCATION

One part of the Center's Mission is to ensure that teachers have the necessary tools to teach the very important skills of reading and writing.  Accordingly the Center has offered numerous  teacher trainings over the years.

The current focus of the teacher trainings is to provide up to date courses for professional development in the researched based intervention curriculum - The 3rd Edition of the LANGUAGE! Curriculum.  This  is a five day course that teaches the structure of language including phonology, phonics, syntax and grammar and how to instruct in a multi-sensory way in combination with training to use the LANGUAGE! MATERIALS.  It is offered for two graduate level credits from Colorado State University.
